Alex Bright

Nurse Specialist

Biography

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1995 and have since, worked in, and developed a great interest within the Neurology speciality. I joined the Mitochondrial Research Group, as a Research Nurse 4 years ago, and have been able to facilitate various studies, and support patients throughout this time.

Due to the nature of the research, I am able to work closely with all members of the Clinical Team, and attend the clinics every week to meet with patients and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for me to discuss any studies that may be appropriate, and of interest to patients.

My role as a Research Nurse allows me to disseminate results from clinical  research studies with patients and other participants, who have given up their time to take part. We are extremely grateful to every participant, and always aim to give feedback in a timely manner and raise awareness of future research studies and events within our group.
