Our Patient Days
Annually we invite over 100 of our patients to attend a patient day in Newcastle. The days offer a unique opportunity for patients and carers to hear about the research performed within our Centre and to pose questions directly to the researchers involved. The patient day also provides an opportunity for patients to interact informally with each other and with our scientists.
The 2016 Mitochondrial Patient Information Day took place on Saturday 8th October at the Gosforth Marriott Newcastle.
The 2015 Mitochondrial Patient Information Day took place on Wednesday 18th March 2015 at the Centre for Life Newcastle, and was held in collaboration with the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. The programme included interactive sessions in relation to diet and exercise, research updates, reports on parliamentary progress as well as patient and guest speakers.
